Robina Muqimyar, sprinter from Afghanistan
Note from BBC World Service says, "A sprinter from Afghanistan, one of only four Afghan athletes to compete at the games. A true Olympic story ... grew up under the Taliban, was one of the first two Afghan women to compete at the Olympics (Athens 2004), has virtually no training facilities at home."
